This is a well-maintained course; the green conditions were very good, and it was very well-priced. But the layout is a little too funky, with two creeks cutting through the course in various places serving as the main design feature. This leads to some frustrating choices in shot placement and a string of blind shots that don't do pace of play any favors. If you're in the QC with time to play only one course and want a good deal, Palmer Hills can be enjoyable. But if you've only got time for one round and don't mind the extra money, go across the river to TPC Deere Ranch.
